So what’s the difference between the different numbers?

0871

An 0871 number is a Fixed Rate Tariff number. This means that the caller always pays a rate of 10p/min when calling this number from anywhere in the UK. You, as the 0871 number holder, do not pay anything to receive the call but receive a rebate on the callers charge.
Simply put, if your customers spend lots of time calling your 0871 number this generates revenue for you. This revenue can be used to help pay for additional customer services that you could not otherwise afford to offer including additional customer support staff, out of hours call answering services or a technical support line. It can also be used simply to decrease the general cost of running your business.
To activate your 0871 number all you have to pay is our one-off administration fee for diverting the 0871 number to a UK land line. There are no call charges, no rental fees, no monthly charges, no weekly charges and no daily charges.

0870

An 0870 number is a National Call Rate number. This means that the caller always pays a national call price when calling this number from anywhere in the UK. You, as the 0870 number holder, do not pay anything to receive the call but receive a rebate on the callers charge. This is less than the rate received on 0871 as the caller pays a lower cost to call the number.
To activate your 0870 number all you have to pay is our one-off administration fee for diverting the 0870 number to a UK land line. There are no call charges, no rental fees, and no other charges.

0845

An 0845 number is a local call number. This means that the caller always pays the local call price (3.36p peak and 0.85p off-peak and weekends) when calling this number from anywhere in the UK. You, as the 0845 number holder, do not pay anything to receive the call.
To activate your 0845 number all you have to pay is our one-off administration fee for diverting the 0845 number to a UK land line. There are no call charges, no rental fees, no monthly charges, no weekly charges and no daily charges.

0800

An 0800 number is a number that allows your customers to call you for free from anywhere in the UK. You bear the cost of incoming calls, which will be at 3.95p per minute, anytime, for calls received by a UK land line on our Standard Service.
The use of an 0800 freephone number has been proven to increase customer enquiries and new business by up to 300%. On top of the extra calls you receive, your image is also enhanced as a result of the improved access a customer will have to your business.
To activate your 0800 number all you have to pay is our one-off administration fee for diverting the 0800 number to your phone land line. There are no annual fees, services charges, weekly charges or daily charges.
